Position: Business Analyst / Functional Analyst – e-Invoicing Project
Location: Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany Remote

Role Overview: As a Business / Functional Analyst for the e-Invoicing Compliance team, you will be responsible for researching, documenting, and presenting the latest e-invoicing mandates from various governments. You will gather information through online research or direct contact with governmental authorities, analyze how these regulations impact existing and new implementations, and provide clear recommendations for compliance. You will also support ongoing updates to ensure that e-invoicing solutions remain compliant in countries where mandates change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Research: Gather and analyze e-invoicing mandates and compliance requirements from governmental sources or online research. Ensure the accuracy of the information and update the team on upcoming changes.
- Documentation: Create detailed reports and documentation outlining e-invoicing requirements for each country, covering both functional and business perspectives.
- Stakeholder Presentations: Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders, clearly explaining the implications of e-invoicing mandates and the implementation strategy.
- Compliance Updates: Monitor existing e-invoicing solutions in various countries, ensuring they stay up to date with any mandate changes. Provide recommendations for necessary system updates or process changes.
- Collaboration with Governments: Establish and maintain contact with government authorities to verify regulations, clarify uncertainties, and stay informed on future changes in e-invoicing compliance.
- Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with product managers, development teams, and compliance officers to ensure that new and existing implementations align with the latest regulations.
- Business Impact Analysis: Evaluate how new e-invoicing mandates affect clients' business processes and offer solutions to streamline compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on global e-invoicing trends and ensure that the company’s solutions are positioned for future regulatory developments.
- Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or business analysis role, ideally with a focus on e-invoicing or financial systems.
- Experience with government mandates and regulatory research in multiple countries is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong research skills, with the ability to navigate governmental sites and interpret regulatory information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating documentation and delivering presentations.
- Familiarity with e-invoicing systems and compliance mandates across different countries (e.g., PEPPOL, SAF-T, SII).
- Proficiency in presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) and document management software.
Certifications:
- Certification in Business Analysis or Regulatory Compliance is a plus.
- Knowledge of e-invoicing standards and frameworks is a bonus.
