A Snapshot of Your Day
Your day begins with a team stand-up meeting where you align with cross-functional teams on the day's priorities and ongoing projects. You then dive into analyzing operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and strategizing on how to enhance efficiency via automation. Mid-morning, you meet with key stakeholders or external customers to discuss project updates and address any challenges. After lunch, you focus on hands-on collaboration with your team, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that operational processes are running smoothly. In the afternoon, you participate in a brainstorming session to explore innovative solutions for scaling the business. Your day wraps up with a review of the day's achievements and planning for the next steps.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Oversee all stages of the operations life cycle, from planning to execution, evaluation, and maintenance.
- Take full ownership of the operational processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals.
- Motivate and convince stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Analyze operational performance, market trends, and competitor activity to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor e-commerce operations, feeding learnings back into the process for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Collaborate hands-on with cross-functional teams, contributing to troubleshooting.
- Factory (supplier) management: Maintain relationships with key Siemens Energy executive units globally, negotiating terms to support strategic goals of the e-commerce platform.
What You Bring
- Proven experience as a Head of Operations, Senior Operations Manager, or a similar role with full ownership in a fast-growing business or startup environment.
- Cross-functional leadership experience: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration across departments; strong personal drive, and the ability to motivate and convince stakeholders.
- Knowledge in B2B Ecosystems: In-depth understanding of B2B customer and stakeholder relationships; technical knowledge and experience in operational processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset: Comfortable with changing roles, limited resources, and rapid growth, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Background in startup environments is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze operational performance and market trends.
- Experience in decision making under uncertainties: Skilled at making effective decisions in complex, uncertain situations, balancing data-driven insights with sound judgment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English / German).
