Regional Sales Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to oversee and drive the sales efforts in Europe. As the Regional Sales Manager, your primary objective will be to achieve and exceed sales targets, foster growth in the region, and build and lead a high-performing sales team. This is a strategic role that requires exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of the European market, and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy and Growth:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive growth and achieve revenue targets in the European region.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to capitalize on business opportunities and gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with senior management to define sales objectives, budgets, and forecasts, and provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.

2. Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team across multiple European countries, including hiring, training, and coaching sales professionals.
  • Set clear performance expectations, establish sales goals and KPIs, and regularly evaluate individual and team performance.
  • Provide ongoing support, guidance, and motivation to the sales team to ensure continuous improvement and achievement of targets.
  • Manage a team of field specialists to ensure that they are focused on supporting revenue driving activity for our client’s products.

3. Sales Operations and Execution:

  • Develop and implement effective sales processes, tools, and systems to optimize sales efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, market intelligence, and customer feedback to identify trends, adjust strategies, and improve sales performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, and customer service, to align efforts and ensure a seamless customer experience.

4. Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner, ensuring customer retention and driving customer advocacy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or similar leadership role in the European market.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent understanding of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading successful sales teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the European market, including customer behaviors, cultural nuances, and competitive landscape.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe approximately 40% of the time.
