Distribution Key Account Manager DACH


For one of our clients, a global international key player in high end networking solutions we are now looking to continue growing their Team in Germany and are looking for a Head of Distribution. The role reports directly to Managing Director DACH.


We are looking for for an action oriented individual with a proven drive for results to join our client as a Distribution Manager for all T1 Distribution Partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Management of all T1 Distribution Partners in German/Austrian/Switzerland
  • Managing stock levels and profiles in line with the companies strategy and sales plans
  • Maintenance of our weekly distribution reporting including POS, customer backlog, purchase order backlog and inventory for all T1 distributors and our sub distribution partners
  • Develop and execute quarterly marketing strategies in alignment with the reseller sales team to leverage the distributors for reseller recruitment, partner enablement and to gain more project opportunities
  • Execute the quarterly sales promotions with all distribution partners including a strong onsite presence at the sales floor of our partners
  • Strong presence at the distributor sales team in order to drive more sales opportunities
  • Coordinate and manage distribution related stand processes such as price protection, stock rotations, promotional clamming etc.
  • Supply Management for our selective Premium Consumer product line in alignment with our Consumer sales team
  • Develop and execute a strategy to expand into new customer segments and markets for our solutions
  • Weekly forecasting for order bookings from all direct partners
  • Regular exchange with our international supply and operations team to manage customer demand versus availability also in challenging conditions and constraint availability
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationship with our customers including senior staff and management
  • Regular alignment with our finance team on payments and credit line in order to have tight cost control and improve customer profitability
  • Ongoing improvement of the reseller shopping experience with in our distribution online stores with the goal to increase visibility, help customers to find our solutions fast and easy and gain more traffic for our key product lines


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Minimum 8 years of sales experience and management of multinational distribution partners in the DACH Region and reliable relationships to those partners
  • Native German with very good English language skills both verbally and in writing
  • High affinity to Information technology and a very good technical understanding of products and solutions
  • Able to adapt on needs and requirements for multiple customer groups for our Consumer and Commercial business
  • Structured work procedures and a high attention to details
  • Strong communication skills and highly energetic, very good presenter and relationship building skills
  • Very analytical and used to work with sales numbers in all details
  • Adaptive to change, open to learn and keep up with product and solution knowledge in an highly innovative and fast moving market
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)and various online and reporting tools
  • Understanding and handling all aspects of a P&L and financial reporting
  • Good understanding of all digital marketing tools to drive customer demand and conversion to maximize partner store performance
