Our client is a cutting-edge medical imaging equipment manufacturer, known for delivering high-quality, innovative imaging solutions to healthcare institutions worldwide. Their products are used in hospitals, diagnostic centres, and research facilities to improve patient care and clinical outcomes. Due to their continuous expansion, they are now looking to hire an experienced National Sales Manager to lead and drive their sales strategy across Germany.

 

Job Overview

As the National Sales Manager, you will spearhead the sales efforts across the country, overseeing a dynamic sales team of 12 people, managing key customer accounts, and driving revenue growth in line with the company’s strategic goals. You’ll be responsible for developing sales plans, building relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring our products maintain a strong presence in the market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a national sales strategy to meet and exceed revenue targets. Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to drive high performance.
  • Team Management: Oversee and support the territory managers, ensuring they achieve their targets. Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to the team.
  • Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major healthcare facilities, distributors, and purchasing groups.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including product launches, new market segments, and geographic areas.
  • Sales Reporting & Analysis: Monitor sales performance, prepare reports, and present findings to senior leadership. Use data to forecast trends and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Customer Focus: Understand the evolving needs of our clients in the medical imaging space and collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, R&D, and product teams to ensure the company’s sales strategies align with product development and market demand.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in the medical imaging, medical devices/equipment market domain.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable success in managing national sales teams, meeting sales targets, and expanding market presence.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing sales teams.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
